This has the effect of increasing your traffic statistics; however, does little to improve your conversions.
While they aren’t lying—they did bring your site more traffic—is that really the kind of traffic you want?

A good SEO company will put you on top with key term phrases that appeal to your niche market. While you may see less traffic via this approach, you should see increased sales and a higher ROI (which is what this whole Internet marketing thing is really all about 🙂 ).
